Laurel Recek is an up-and-coming, self-taught artist who has always had talent for performance, and creativity. 

Over her life she has excelled in classical piano, ballet, modern dance and hip hop, and wrote music for piano and voice, choreographed for a dance company and expressed herself via poetry and visual arts.  As a painter, she is known for her curved brush strokes that interpret and celebrate the female figure in its many forms; bold floral manifestations and abstracts that can be described as submersive emotion, as she communicates deep feelings and the places we all go in the corners of our minds in times of happiness, gratefulness, sadness and solitude.

Laurel is entirely self-made, from a small, rural town, and has worked hard to create her dream life in New York City as a professional and leader in healthcare-based human resources and as a visual artist…because in New York, anything is possible.
